Kate Noelle Potter

Today we welcomed Kate Noelle Potter to our family. She was born at 2:14 pm, weighed 7 lbs 7 oz and was 18 inches long. She is perfect and beautiful. She has tons of dark curly hair (a big surprise!). Alyssa was so excited to meet her little sister. When she got to the hospital she didn't even look at me and went straight to Kate. Tonight when Russ left to take Alyssa home she sobbed because she wanted baby Kate (and mommy) to come home too. Here are some pictures. Birth story to come later when I am not so tired.

Saturday activites

Today we did a few fun things. Alyssa got this giant puzzle from Russ. He brought it home from a business trip. It is by far her hardest puzzle and she loves it. We do it at least once a day. Mostly I give her the right pieces and she puts it together.

Then we went to the Hoogle Zoo. It was a nice day and wasn't too cold. Unfortunately the elephants weren't out but we saw everything else. Alyssa thought it was fun. Russ and I have been to many zoo's including San Diego zoo, so every time I go to the Hoogle Zoo I am pretty disappointed. They don't have very many big animals.

Painting

We are getting the babies room ready. We decided to paint an accent wall pink and keep the rest of the walls white with one wall having a cherry blossom tree on it. Alyssa was helping and doing very well until we looked away for one second and she started painting a different wall. By the time I turned around she painted a whole big patch. So we decided to paint all the walls except the one with the cherry blossom tree. I think it looks really cute. I will post pictures of the whole room once I get everything on the walls. This was the last thing I needed to get ready, so anytime she wants to come I'll be ready for her.
