It's a...
Yesterday I decided spur of the moment to go get a gender Ultrasound. You can get those done anywhere from 16-18 week. My OB is not doing the anatomic ultrasound until 21 weeks. I was going to hold out until that appointment but I gave into temptation. I love the ultrasounds and seeing the life in side of me. When we came to between the legs shot the ultrasound technician asked me to guess It was pretty clear that there was nothing there. It is a GIRL! I am so excited to have a little sister for Alyssa. I was convenience that it was a boy until now so I was a little surprised. The girls will be exactly 3 years apart. So needless to say I have most of the baby clothes I need.

Triathlon
Russ and Noelle did a triathlon last weekend down at Sand Hollow in St George. Russ did the sprint which is a 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike and 3.1 mile run. Noelle did the Olympic. This is her second triathlon last time she did a sprint. Hers was a 1 mile swim, 24 mile bike and a 6.2 mile run. They both did great and were tired at the end. We were there from start to finish which took about 3 hours for Noelle. It was hot! Alyssa was a trooper. I guess I can't complain I wasn't the one exercising in the heat. I did see a pregnant lady doing the olympic relay, she was running. I was kind of jealous that I wasn't doing it.

The other day I took Alyssa out to a cute spot and wanted to get some pictures of her. They turned out ok, but nothing fantastic. She thought it was fun exploring and seeing the really big pumpkins. She choose her own outfit...

I am happy to report that after 2 1/2 years of using the binky, Alyssa is officially binky free!!!
I had never wanted to give her a binky in the first place but when she was 4 days old and nursing none stop I gave it to her for some relief. Well needless to say I planned to get rid of it multiple times but never had the courage. She loved that thing. She was only suppose to be using it for naps and bed time but recently she wanted to lay down on the couch with it and would tell me she was tired. She wanted it too much. One day I took her to the babysitters and I completely spaced it and forgot to bring the binky. When I picked her up the babysitter informed me that Alyssa took a nap just fine. I decided to take that opportunity and run with it. We went home and "looked" for the binky and couldn't find it. Then she kept telling me that the binky monster took it. The first night was really hard, she sobbed but eventually fell asleep. Each night after that has been better and better. She doesn't cry or ask for it anymore and it has only been 5 days! I am so happy that we finally got rid of it!

Big Sister
Alyssa is excited to be a big sister. I think she will be a good big sister. She is getting ready.
One month and we find out if it is a boy or a girl. Any guesses?

Mother like Daughter
Alyssa enjoys so many things that I enjoy. We made cookies and ate some of the dough.
She is enrolled again in Gymnastics, mostly because she asked constantly if she could go again. Now every day she either asks me if she is going to gymnastics that day or tells me, "Saturday I go to gymnastics"

Swimming
We went to Classic Water slides with some friends the other day. Alyssa had a blast. She constantly wanted to go down the big slides.
