We had a great time celebrating Alyssa's first birthday. It is really hard to believe it has already been a year. It has been a great year, she brings so much joy into our lives. We love every minute with her!We had family over for a party, Alyssa wasn't too interested in opening the presents (maybe next year). We got her a slide, it was a little bigger than we thought. At first she was terrified of it but now she loves to go down the slide. She can't climb up there on her own but she will learn. She also got some fun toys, clothes and books. As for the cake she ate the icing for a little bit but then she pushed the cake away.
Alyssa is full of energy and curiosity. She loves to explore new area's of the house, opens all the drawers. It is hard to get her to stay still long enough to feed her.... She loves books she will turn the pages over and over. She also loves dogs, if she is ever crying we all we have to do is take her outside to see the dog. She is not patient at all... If I show her how to do something and she can't do it right away she gets so mad ( we laugh because it is funny but she gets really frustrated). She started walking 4 days before her birthday now she just walks everywhere!
She has been the most wonderful addition to our lives. I can't remember what life was like before her, it is so much better now! We are so grateful to be her parents, we love to watch her grow and learn!!!

Happy first birthday, sweet girl! She is so beautiful you guys!!! It really continues to go that fast... sorry to say. Good thing for cameras, journals and memories!
