Murder Mystery Party

Russ and I hosted a Murder Mystery Party on Saturday night. It was pirate themed. "Murder among the mateeys."  We planned it for about 2 months. We thought about who to invite, only people that we thought would get into it and enjoy it. We purchased a kit that had all the instructions and everything. Russ decorated everything. He is much more creative and visual than I am. He did a great job. It turned out to be something that I would see on pinterest. I was pretty impressed. All our friends dressed up and I was pleasntly surprised with their efforts on their costumes. None of us had played before so we didn't really know what to do. We had a few people that really got into it and were making the rest of us laugh. We served dinner, carribean themed. Jerk chicken, coconut rice, salad and rolls. No one guessed the murderer correctly. Our friends all thought it was really fun and suggested we do it as an annual party. I agree I will need a year to recover =) Next time it will be even better since we know what to do. Overall it was a success and I am glad we did it.
