Job

We are so excited! Russ was offered a job at @task. They are a project managment software company. In my understanding they have software that they sell to companies to help manage their tasks and be more efficent. Russ will be an education specialist. Meaning he will learn the programs they offer and train and teach these companies on how to use the software. It will be alot of webinars and some travel not too much!). They already have big clients like Nike, Apple and Adobe. He is really excited. He really wanted to work for this company. They have great benefits and seem to have a great working enviornment. They gave him a good offer, more than we expected! He is going to start on Monday. Timing could not be more perfect. The office is 1/2 a block from my mom's house and about 2 miles from my work!

Thanksgiving Point Easter Egg Party

Today we went to the Thanksgiving Point Easter Eggstreme. They had an easter egg hunt for different age groups. Alyssa's age group was 0-3 and started at 11am. We got to Thanksgiving point at 10 am. We had to meet with our lender for a few minutes to sign some documents. We went over the the park about 35 min till 11. I thought that would be plenty of time. The line was huge!! We finally got through and into the park at 1105. I ran over the the egg hunt with Alyssa. She was so excited and was holding her basket so tight. We got to the field and of course ALL the eggs were gone. Alyssa took off running looking for eggs. I felt so bad, I didn't know what to do. She was going to be so upset if she couldn't find any eggs. Thankfully a very nice family noticed that we didn't get any eggs. They gave Russ 4 eggs to hide for Alyssa. He quickly hide them and I pointed her in the right direction. She was so excited. I am so grateful there was a nice family out there that helped us.

 They had other cute activities for kids. Alyssa went on a train, bouncy slide. We were going to get her face painted but it was getting cold and the line was long (it was too close to nap time). It was very crowded, I wish we had gotten their when it fist opened.

Duck Pond

Saturday it was nice and warm. I took Alyssa to the duck pond at BYU. She loved it. She probably threw a half a bag of bread in the water. There was also a cute path and man made river and waterfall that Alyssa wanted to play in.

Top Marketing Student

This passed week UVU buisness school held a banquet for the top buisness students. A few select students were given awards. Russ was awarded Outstanding Marketing student.  I am very proud of him. Congrats Russ! Next week graduation!

Spring

Spring is here. Well kind of. It comes and goes. One day it is nice the next day it is snowing. We are happy for the days it is nice. The flowers are starting to bloom. That is my favorite thing about spring. Yesterday we were at the park and there were these pretty flower trees blooming. One had a perfect branch for Alyssa to sit on.

Alyssa is talking up a storm. We can have conversations, which is so fun. Here are some of the things that she says that I love,

"I wob you" (I love you) It is music to my ears and melts my heart! Another one is " Miss you" (she will say when I come home from work)
When she says " Mama go to work" I will say No or yes, when I say No she gets excited. It is heart breaking but cute.
"I don't like it" ( I think it is cute that she can express her option and feelings)
" I tired"
"Me do it" (her most common phrase)
She can sing rain rain go away. It is darling and she sings it like this "rain go away, come back, alyssa play"
She loves to sing and dance. Noelle taught her "shake..shake..shake, shake your booty" yea she can say and do it. It is pretty cute.
" I wake up" (when she done with a nap or sleeping.) or she will say "All done, bed"

New Addition

We got a new addition to our family! We are very excited to announce..........
Our newest family member Maya.

Alyssa is in love. She has been asking about her since we meet her a month ago.  She is a 4 month old English Golden Retriever. We got her today. So far she has been a very good dog. She is very friendly and lets Alyssa cuddle her all she wants. She was very good with Lady(my families 12 year old Golden). I think Lady enjoys the company as well, although she is dying so not as lively as Maya would want. Maya just followed Lady around the yard.  My mom graciously said we could keep her at her house until our house is done. Normally these dogs are VERY pricey. Maya was the runt of the off season litter so we got her for a very good deal.
Speaking of the house, we are meeting for a pre-construction meeting next week. (one step closer!)
