Painting

We are getting the babies room ready. We decided to paint an accent wall pink and keep the rest of the walls white with one wall having a cherry blossom tree on it. Alyssa was helping and doing very well until we looked away for one second and she started painting a different wall. By the time I turned around she painted a whole big patch. So we decided to paint all the walls except the one with the cherry blossom tree. I think it looks really cute. I will post pictures of the whole room once I get everything on the walls. This was the last thing I needed to get ready, so anytime she wants to come I'll be ready for her.

Ice Skating

Today we went to SLC and went Ice Skating at the Gallavin Center. It was cold so we didn't last long. It was fun. Alyssa enjoyed it for the most part until she got to cold. When we got home she kept asking to go again.

SNOW!

It FINALLY snowed in Utah. We have only had a dusting before this storm. We only got a few inches but it was enough we could play in. Alyssa has been waiting for snow all winter. When I got home from work today we changed into our snow clothes and headed to the backyard. We made 2 snowmen. Alyssa said it was a baby and an Alyssa snowman.  All the snow will probably be melted by tomorrow so I'm glad we had the chance to play in it today.

Wahoo

Today my little sister got ENGAGED!! We are so excited for her. They are getting married sometime at the end of April. We had Eric and Noelle over tonight to play games. They went on a bike ride up A.F. Canyon first and when they got back Noelle was acting funny and standing weird. I kept asking her if she brought any clothes to change into and she said No, but then she was still standing funny. I thought to my self what is she doing and why is she standing so funny. Then I saw her hand. I said to her "Why are you wearing that ring, our you engaged?" She said "Yes" I said "wait has he talked to Mom yet" (after talking to my mom today I thought he hadn't since she told me that today.) Of course my mom had lied to me so that I wouldn't tell Noelle. Anyway we are SO excited for Noelle and Eric!!!

I have to document this cute coversation with Alyssa. 
A few months ago we had to put my family dog down. She was dying. Anyway when we went to my mom's house Alyssa asked "Where is Lady?"  I responded, "Lady got sick and died. She went to live with Heavenly Father."  She took it fine. She would then say "Lady died" when ever we went to my mom's house.
We also live right near the Timpanogos temple. We drive by it often. We have told Alyssa that the temple is Heavenly Father's house. So when we were driving by the temple soon after Lady died, Alyssa looked at the temple and said "There is the temple, Lady is there."  Even now a few months later she still says "Lady's there" when we drive by. It is really cute that she made the connection. I of course didn't correct her because she has the right concept. It just makes me laugh everytime she says it.

This last week she has also been asking us to go to California. When I ask her why she wants to go she says "because its warm there." I ask her what she wants to do there and she says "go to the beach that has no crabs".  She sure is my daughter, loving the beach already. =)

33 weeks

I hesitate posting this picture because I think I look horrible. But oh well. I like to look back when I was pregnant with Alyssa, so I assume I will want pictures to look back on from the pregnancy as well. Anyway this is me at 33 weeks. I feel like I look 40 weeks. I am measuring right on schedule but I feel huge!  I am very excited about this baby! I also feel very lucky to be pregnant. I know so many people can't get pregnant or have complications. I feel lucky to have such a healthy pregnancy and looking forward to the rest of this time. My really good friend just gave birth to a still born at 28 weeks. We were 2 weeks apart and it is really sad for them and constant makes me feel blessed to still be pregnant.
Alyssa is so excited for the baby as well. She give my tummy hugs and kisses all the time. She constantly talks about her baby sister.  I can't wait to see them together.  Alyssa asked me to take pictures of her dancing, so I did. I think they are so cute.

Sledding

We went sledding at Soldiers Hollow on the day after New Years. It hasn't snowed in Utah yet this season. I really wanted to go but doubted they had any snow. Well Soldiers Hollow made snow and there was only snow on the tubing hill and the cross country skiing track. It looked funny, but it made me feel like it was a little more like winter than it has felt. It was actual 50 degrees during the day. We went at 6 so it was a little colder. Alyssa went down the big hill twice and then went on the baby hill a bunch of times. She only lasted an hour due to being cold. I can't wait till it actually snows and we can go sledding on local hills.
