Stocking

I am so excited! I have been working on a needlepoint stocking for Alyssa since I was pregnant with her. It took me about 1 year and 9 months to finish it. But it is finally finished and hanging on the mantel. I think it is beautiful. My mom handmade needlepoint stockings for us kids and I wanted to keep the tradition going with my own kids.  Russ says the stocking should be gold plated for how much it costs to do. But I told him that this is the only homemaker craft thing I do, plus it is worth it. I even bought my canvas at the same store my mom bought mine at 27 years ago. The canvas's are hand painted. Now they are bigger than they use to be, you can see how Alyssa's is the biggest. Here is what it looks like

I'm impressed. Whenever I want a home made craft I buy the pattern and give it to my mom to do.

Super cute! And Russ shouldn't complain. He spends plenty of money on clothes. And this is something Alyssa can have for many years to come!

You are amazing! Under two years is pretty good for finishing a project. :)

I am very impressed with those stockings. I remember when Kathy was making hers and I thought about needlepoint for a brief moment, but that is all. It is a fun tradition to keep going.
