Ice Castles

Tonight we went with our friends to the Ice Castles In Midway. They are really cool and cold! The kids LOVED it! Alyssa is so cute. She is a socialite just like her dad. When we told her we were going somewhere with Cohen and Baker, the entire ride to Midway she kept saying "Where are Cohen and Baker". When we got home ( she had fallen asleep on the way home) as I got her out of her carseat she was half asleep. The only thing she said (practically in her sleep) was Cohen, Baker. Oh my I am in for a treat when she is a teenager.

 I had to add some cute pictures I took of her before church yesterday. I tried french braiding her hair. I think it looks so cute. I have to bribe her to sit still long enough to do it though. So we were looking outside for deer. (she loves seeing deer) we couldn't find any and this is how she felt about that.

Wishing for Spring

I have Spring fever!! I don't know why, I have never minded winter before. I am dreaming of sunshine and warmth. I think it is because I love playing outside with Alyssa. We had so much fun going to the pool and park last summer that I am excited for this summer. Today it was a few degrees warmer so we went to the park. When we left my fingers were white and Alyssa said she was freezing. We had fun while it lasted though. Here are some pictures.

Today we made some Valentines cookies. Alyssa loves helping. Grandma Patti made her a darling apron that she actually wore, since Noelle and I were wearing one too.

Depth of field

Here are some pictures. I am practicing with aperture and depth of field. I am going to be posting pictures pretty often, so let me know if you like them, what you like and any ideas of things to shoot. Also does anyone know how to change the blog to a 3 column from a 2 column?

Russ got me a really nice camera for Christmas. I have wanted to get into photography for a while. Of course time is an issue. So I signed up for community photography classes.  Our first class we learned about shutter speed and lighting.  So when we were in California I practiced. Here are some photos.

Dana Point , CA - Dolphin Safari

A quick post before I go to bed. We went on a dolphin safari yesterday in Dana Point, Ca. (more posts of that later). We were going through some of the pictures of the dolphins we saw and there was a really cool one I wanted to post. As well as a short video. We saw hundred of dolphins and it was amazing. We all loved it.
