Beach

The first few days in California it was just me, my mom, Noelle and Alyssa. Those few days all we did was go to the beach. Alyssa is a beach baby for sure. She loved playing at the beach. She never got tired of it. She jumped over waves, ran from the waves, made sand castle after sand castle, got buried in the sand, found shells. I am glad that she loved the beach because Russ and I love it!

California Vacations

We are currently in Newport beach California for a much needed vacation. So far our vacation has been filled with the beach. We love it. The beach is my favorite place on earth. I love that Alyssa love it as well. Here are a few photos.

Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake for the 24th of July. I was so glad for a 3 day weekend and a quick get away. We have been so busy moving into the house, and my work in July is extremely busy and stressful, I really needed a get away. I will do a blog post about the house soon.
We rented a boat one day. Russ drove and we all had fun. We wake boarded, tubed and just enjoyed the boat. Alyssa really liked it. She even had her first tube ride. The whole time she was on the tube with me she was saying "Faster, faster". She loved the boat until she was sleeping (see picture below) and we hit a big bump and she smashed her head into the boat. From then on she kept saying "No bumps! Don't do that again!" We also went Jet skiing. Me and my mom took Alyssa with us. She liked it at first but then was afraid of the bumps and again kept saying "No bumps!" She lasted about 10 minutes. When we took her back to the shore. When we were in the harbor going 4 m/hr. She said "No bumps now Mommy, its okay" I hope she isn't traumatized for long. She got a little bruise on her check from hitting it so hard. I felt so bad. Other than that and getting the stomach flu she had a great trip. =)

Finally convinced my mom to try tubing. She insisted she didn't like it but then after she did it she said it was fun. Although her face doesn't show it in this picture.

Slip and Slide

We bought a slip and slide for Alyssa. We thought she would love it. She loves water slides, she plays on a slip and slide at her babysitters and loves it. She was so excited when we got it out. It took an hour to pump up. Then she went on the slide twice. Today I wanted to try it again and she wouldn't even get on it. Instead she scooped water from the pool and poured it on the tramp.

Nerves

The house is finished!! We closed last night. So many papers to sign I felt like I was signing my life away. The house looks great. I am happy with everything about it. We are moving in this weekend. I am nervous. We have lived in my mom's basement for 3 out of the 4 years of our marriage. (man where does time go)!
I am use to having my mom and sister with in arms reach to watch Alyssa if I want to go running or if we want some company. We are only moving 15 minutes away but it will be different. We have a big house. I am worried it will be so quiet. It will be a weird transition. But it will be good. I am excited for the space. And my master bath!!! I will update with finished pictures of the house soon.

Splash Pad

I am so excited. There is an awesome splash pad 2 minutes from our new house. We took Alyssa there today. She loved it. She is so friendly, she tried to make friends with random kids. One girl played with her for a little bit. Then the girl went to sit on a bench. Alyssa noticed and went over there and kept asking her "What are you doing?" "Why" She is too social =) she follows after Russ.
